Who are we?
Mike Clinton and Alex Potts partnered for over 30 years pioneering a business to help financial advisors best serve their clients. At the end of their tenure, the business managed over $37 Billion and impacted over 150,000 lives. Mike was a long time CPA and a financial expert in the business. Alex was previously the COO, then President and CEO. MC and AP oversaw the successful and deliberate sale of their business and thought, "what's next?"
After backpacking the iconic John Muir Trail in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Mike and Alex realized that they were (in fact) not quite ready to fully embrace traditional "retirement." Rather than spend each day on the golf course or pestering their families, they started MCAP to reimagine what retirement could be. Years of working (and hiking) together made them realize that they could pay forward the counsel, capital and friendly support given to them to the next generation of business owners that are attempting to "do well, by doing good."
